Brenda Blankenship, 72, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Brighton Cornerstone in Madisonville.

She was born on February 10, 1951, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Marion June Lisanby Dickerson and William Dickerson. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her grandchildren. Brenda was a member of Hanson Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ferrell Evon Blankenship; and sister, Lisa Dickerson.

Survivors include her son, Jason (Lori) Mefford of Madisonville; brothers, Billy (Tandy) Dickerson, Joey (Lori) Dickerson, and Sam (Vickie) Dickerson, all of Madisonville; granddaughters, Gabrielle Downs and Madalynn Mefford; grandson, Donavan Woods; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Taylor officiating. Burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Billy Mefford, Chris Mefford, Billy Dickerson, Kristoffer Dunlap, Donavan Woods, and David Herron.
