Brenda Lee (Quillen) Andrews, age 68, of Homosassa, FL lost her battle with cancer on the morning of November 10th, 2014 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, FL. Brenda was born in Madisonville, KY on October 9th, 1946, the first born and only daughter to L.J. and Lee Omia Quillen.
Throughout her life Brenda found joy in many things, from movies, to playing games on her computer. She also loved to garden, cook, sew and tend to her home. After her kids were grown Brenda discovered she had a love for reading, her latest favorite George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. According to her, Brenda's greatest accomplishment in life were her four children and her six grandchildren. She loved them unconditionally, she cleaned for them, cooked for them, had dreams for them, and was always there for them. Brenda devoted her life to her children and even after they had grown and moved on (and back home again) she continued to do the same for her grandchildren up until the very end.
Brenda is survived by her brothers, James (Buck) Quillen and wife Brenda, Kenneth Quillen and wife Judy and Dennis Quillen and wife Stacy of Madisonville, KY, her husband of 49 years, Bennie F. (Sonny) Andrews of Homosassa FL and all four of her children, Robert Wayne of Homosassa, FL, Bennie F. Jr. and Lon Terry (Tink) of Marion, IN and Jennifer Lee Harris of Edgewater, MD Also her seven grandchildren, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Brenda's legacy was her love and passion for her family and friends to which she was fiercely loyal.
Visitation with the family will be held at Harris Funeral Home, 134 N. Main Street, Madisonville, KY from 10 a.m. until 11a.m. on Saturday, June 27th, 2015, followed by a short service with Bro. J.D.
