Bonnie Savanna Whitmer, 89, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017.

She was born on September 10, 1927 in Providence, KY to the late Louanna and Leman Castile. Bonnie loved gospel music and attended the Greater Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Whitmer; daughter, Linda Hook; sister, Dudeanner Whitmer; and her brother, Bernard Castile.

Survivors include her daughter, Roseanna Oglesby of Madisonville; son, James Whitmer of Madisonville; granddaughter, Savanna Garrity and husband, Larry of Madisonville; great-grandsons, Josh Garrity and wife, Danielle of Florence, KY, Caleb Garrity and Levi Garrity both of Madisonville; great-granddaughters, Adrianna Garrity and Deanna Garrity both of Madisonville; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Ronnie Hendricks officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Larry Garrity, Caleb Garrity, Billy Castile, Tim Smith, Bob Lench and Joe Peyton.
