Bobby D. Smith, 60, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.

He was born on April 20, 1958 in South Williamson, KY to Ona Smith and the late Willie Smith. Bobby worked in the mining industry for forty-two years and was a MSHA mine inspector for the past six years. He was of the Baptist faith. Bobby took pride in doing his yard work at home it was a chore he loved doing and he enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a special bond and love for his dog,  Dre.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Smith and his sisters, Jean Smith and Gaye Chapman.

Survivors include his wife of forty-one years, Belinda Smith; mother, Ona Smith of Salt Lick, KY; sons, Bobby (Nadira) Smith of San Clemente, CA, Bryan (Shylla) Smith of Coral Springs, FL and Albaro (Milla) Moya of Coconut Creek, FL; several brothers and sisters; granddaughters, Ansley Smith and Lena Rose Moya; grandson, Jonathan Moya; several nieces and nephews; and, his best friend and companion, Dre.

The funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating.

The visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.
