Bobby G. Oakley, 72, of Manitou, KY passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY.

He was born on October 27, 1945 in Madisonville, KY to the late, Eva Jo Poe Oakley and Oscar Lee Oakley, Sr. Bobby was formerly employed with Scott Lumber in Henderson, KY and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Charlotte Faye Oakley; daughter, Donna Burchfield and husband, Craig of Greenville, KY; brother, Roscoe Oakley and wife, Ena of Henderson; grandson, Michael Burchfield of Clay, KY; great-granddaughter, Erin Grace Burchfield; and great-grandson, Bentley Duane Burchfield; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating. Burial to follow at Concord Cemetery in White Plains, KY.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Joey Oakley, Ricky Oakley, Jeff Oakley, Clint Wells, Michael Burchfield and Craig Burchfield.
