Bobby F. "Bob" McGary, 83, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center in Madisonville.

He was born on February 15, 1935 in Madisonville, KY to the late, Sarah and Jesse W. McGary. After high school Bob joined the United States Army and later became a police officer with the Madisonville Police Department. He was a partner in McGary Brothers Furniture then ventured on his own operating Bob's Discount Furniture and Bob's Furniture Mart. In his later years he was employed with General Electric and Ahlstrom as a security officer. Bob was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Edwin McGary and James McGary; and his nephew, Eric McGary.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Sandra McGary; son, Jesse McGary and wife, Carolyn of Evansville, IN; daughter, Patricia "Trish" Wyatt and husband, Ray of Madisonville; brother, Jesse J. McGary and wife, Mary of Nortonville, KY; grandchildren, Jake Wyatt, Kevin Wyatt, Sarah Shue and David McGary; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at Noon on Monday, June 18, 2018 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Dr. Joe Leonard officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. Military honors will be conducted by the Hopkins County Honor Guard.

The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Jesse McGary, Dan McGary, David McGary, Ray Wyatt, Jake Wyatt and Kevin Wyatt.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's memory to the Hopkins County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
