Billy Joe Wiles, 75, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

He was born on May 28, 1942 in Madisonville to Bonnie Wiles and the late, John Thomas Wiles. Billy formerly worked at Island Creek Coal Company and was a firefighter for the City of Madisonville. He was a member of Madisonville Church of Christ. He enjoyed mowing, watching UK basketball and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Dora Nadine Wiles; his mother, Bonnie Ree Henderson Wiles of Madisonville; daughter, Kimberly Wiles of St. Charles, KY; son, Stephen Wiles of Paducah, KY; sister, Judy Ann Smith and husband, Larry of Madisonville; brothers, Larry Thomas Wiles and wife, Melissa of Madisonville and Glen Allen Wiles and wife, Tammy of Mortons Gap, KY; grandsons, Eric Dwayne Groves and wife, Christa of Madisonville and Cameron Douglas Wiles of Benton, KY; great-grandsons, Jerimiah Nathaniel Groves and Maxx Killian Groves both of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Madisonville Church of Christ with Russell Kline officiating. Burial to follow at Hanson Cemetery in Hanson, KY. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at the church.

Pallbearers are Gregory Smith, Derrick Smith, Shawn Wiles, Brian Wiles, Jonathan Wiles and Eric Groves.

Memorial contributions may be made in Billy's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
