Billy Gene Prince, 83, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

He was born on April 8, 1936 in Mortons Gap, KY to the late Lena Jane and Oswald Prince. Bill was a United States Navy Veteran and was employed with L&N Railroad. He loved his church family at Park Avenue Baptist Church in Madisonville. He enjoyed working in his yard and watching UK Basketball.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Jean Doyle Prince; daughter, Angelia Prince; sister, Lucille Oldham; and his step-mother, Mary Frances Fox Prince.

Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Pearl Prince; daughter, Lisa (Mark) Arnold of Jackson, TN; sister, Dean Branson of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2019 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Len Young officiating. Burial to follow at Old Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Sunday at the funeral home.
