Billy Ardell Hester, 82, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center in Madisonville.

He was born on January 25, 1935 in Hopkinsville, KY to the late Mary Belle Hester and Ural Edwin Hester. He was a United States Navy Veteran and retired from the Madisonville Community College. He liked UK Basketball, the Atlanta Braves and enjoyed playing the lottery.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister's, Betty Jean Hester and Brenda Barnwell; and his brother, Brandon Hester.

Survivors include his brother, Bobby Ray Hester and wife, Mary of Hopkinsville, KY; sister, Barbara Fritz and husband, Jon of Hartville, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Odd Fellows in Madisonville. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of the arrangements.
