Betty Winstead, 76, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center in Madisonville.

She was born on December 27, 1939 in Madisonville to the late Jewell and Teddy Fireline. Betty was retired from General Electric in Madisonville and was a member of Pond River Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and a beautiful pianist.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnn Winstead on July 30, 2015; and her son-in-law, Thomas Begley.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, Joe Winstead; daughters, Wendy King and husband, Brian of Beaver Dam, KY, Pam Sellers and husband, Stephen of Madisonville and Angela Begley of Murray, KY; son, Ricky Winstead and wife, Susan of Madisonville; brothers, Delbert Fireline of Dawson Springs and Denzil Fireline of Madisonville; sisters, Peggy Duncan of Madisonville and Patricia Williams of South Carolina; grandchildren, Brandie Gates, Josh Green, Johnathan Winstead, Marcie Fowler, Megan O'Bryan, Faith Henry, Lesley King, Morgan King, Eric Begley, Heather Begley, Hannah Sellers and Hunter Sellers; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2016 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor Adam Brown officiating.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the funeral hour Sunday at the funeral home.
