Betty Jane Walker, 90, of Newburgh, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center in Newburgh.

She was born on August 24, 1928 in Mortons Gap, KY to the late Ode and Nevlyn Lee. She worked as a bookkeeper for People Trust and Savings in Boonville KY and attended First Baptist Church in Henderson, KY. Betty liked shopping and cleaning and loved taking care of her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Lee.

Survivors include her husband of seventy years, Charles Walker; daughter, Carolyn Holtz of Newburgh; son, Wayne (Mitzi) Walker of Boonville, IN; sister, Judy (Richard) Burden of Hopkinsville, KY; four grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor Todd Linn officiating. Burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at the funeral home.
