Betty S. Smith, 69, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.

She was born on January 15, 1950 in Madisonville to the late Mary Alma Buchanan and Basil Smith. She was formerly a CNA at NHC Healthcare. Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Sissom.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Davis of Madisonville and Michelle Puckett of Nortonville, KY; sisters, Mary Smith of Arizona, Linda Fulcher Sacramento, KY and Karty Kay Skimehorn of Nortonville; brothers, Dwayne Oldham of Madisonville and Robert Buchanan of Texas; grandchildren; Stephanie Davis, Jonathan Davis, Dustin Tabor, Kelsey Tabor and Alexis Grosse; great-grandchildren, Zachary Davis, Matthew Dickerson, Braxton Bowley, Jase Tabor and Mylie Tabor; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2019 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Archie Calvert officiating. A burial will be held at a later date.

The visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.
