Betty Phillips, 75, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on June 14, 1941 in Madisonville to the late Clara Summers Bearden and Walter Joel Bearden. Betty was a member of First General Baptist Church in Madisonville. She enjoyed quilting and watching UK Basketball.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Peyton and Loraine White.

Survivors include her sons, J.D. Jackson and wife, Tammi of Morganfield, KY, Walter "Wally" Jackson and Scott Phillips and wife, Kim both of Madisonville; daughters, Sue Pendley and husband, Tim of Nebo, KY and Kim Cotton and companion, Jeremy Bearden of Madisonville; sister, Anna Reid and husband, Gene of Madisonville; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Alan Menser officiating. Burial to follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home.
