Betty L. Capps Egbert, 93, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Dawson Springs Health and Rehab in Dawson Springs.

She was born on October 24, 1931, in Mt. Harris, CO, to the late Willie Timmons Capps and Jesse Capps. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Betty was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H.B. Egbert; and her brothers, Hubert Capps and Rufus Wayne Capps.

Survivors include her sons, Barry (Debby) Utley, Tim Utley, Stan (Stephanie) Utley, all of Dawson Springs; brother, Bob (Elaine) Capps of Nebo, KY; sister, Linda Siria of Madisonville, KY; grandchildren, Amy Renfro, Clay Utley, and Jessica Williams; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Dr. Mark Partin officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Barry Utley, Clay Utley, Mason Utley, Jacob Lucas, Bryce Renfro, and Grayson Williams.
