Betty J. Arnold, 89, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at NHC Healthcare of Madisonville.

She was born on January 27, 1926 in Providence, KY to the late Sylvia and Victor Cowan. Betty was co-owner of W.H. Arnold Hardware and volunteered in the gift shop at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Arnold, Jr.

Survivors include her sister, Victoria Oliver of Louisville, KY; sister-in-law, Alice Arnold of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Dr. Stephen Seaford officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to First Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
