Barry Lee Baxter, Sr., 86, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

He was born on December 1, 1938, in Frankfort, KY, to the late Florence Baxter and Junius Baxter. He was formerly employed as a district manager for The Pantry. He enjoyed golfing, boat riding, and bowling. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Barry was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded  in death by his wife, Emma Joyce Baxter; and his son, Barry Baxter, Jr.

His survivors include his daughters, Tammy Heltsley and Cindy Baxter, both of Madisonville; sister, Donna Jennings of St. Louis, MO; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
