Barbara Jo "B.J." Buckner, 77, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at her home.

She was born on April 6, 1937 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late Ruth W. Moorefield and Robert Moorefield. While living in Madisonville she was a realtor for Shelly Durham Real Estate, she later moved to Louisville where she lived for 45 years and was a realtor for Coldwell Banker McMahan. She had great taste for interior decorating and flower gardening but most of all she enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church in Dawson Springs, KY.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell F. Buckner.

She is survived by two sons, Shawn (Debbie) Lucas of Murray, KY and Randy Lucas of Louisville, KY; her daughter, Kelly (Charlie) LaMond of Madisonville; a sister, Martha (John) Morris; Eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Cheryl McDonald officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at Harris Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's memory to the Alzheimer's Association and Baptist Health Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
