Alan Baker Johnston, 29, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

He was born on October 18, 1988 in Madisonville to Fred and Valerie Johnston. Baker was employed with Alliance Coal Company and was a member of Hanson Baptist Church in Hanson, KY. Baker enjoyed skateboarding, snow boarding, golf and video games and loved riding in his Jeep.

Preceding him in death is his grandparents, Orville and Mildred Johnston, Jim Lovan and Doug Patterson.

Survivors include his mother and father, Valerie and Fred Johnston of Hanson; sister, Allison Alexander of Madisonville; the love of his life, Leighann Harper of Madisonville; nephew, Brady Alexander of Madisonville; grandmother, Sue Patterson of Madisonville; and many aunts, uncles, cousin's and close friends.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Dan Hutchens officiating. A private burial will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville at a later date.

The visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the service hour Wednesday at the funeral home.
