Artie B. Cunningham Welborn, 93, of Madisonville, KY went to be with the Lord at 3 a.m. on February 28, 2014.

She was born October 27, 1920 in Madisonville, KY to the late Jess Herman Cunningham and Dixie Lee Cunningham. She was a member of Madison Ave Holiness Church and enjoyed serving the Lord.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Homer Welborn Jr, her sisters, Catherine Napier, Louise Cayce, Bessie Pearl Walker, Janie Venoy, and her brother's, Archie Pentecost, Bryant Pentecost and Henry Cunningham.

She is survived by two sisters, Rose Frances Mahar and Alleen Betar, two daughters, Brenda Sue Thompson and Donna Kay (Don) Whitehouse, seven grandchildren, Keith Scott, Kent (Nancy) Scott, Mark (Mary) Scott, Troy (Rebecca) Warner, Rodney (Katie) Whitehouse, Shawn (Thea) Whitehouse and Mercedes (Phillip) Chandler, thirteen great -grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor Steve Stone and Steve Merideth officiating and Rodney Whitehouse assisting. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday at Harris Funeral Home.
