Annie Laura Young, 82, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 8:50 p.m. on Monday, December 24, 2012 at Baptist Health Madisonville.

She was born on May 21, 1930 in Madisonville, KY to the late Forrest and Hattie Day. She retired as a lunch room manager at West Broadway School and as a bottle examiner for Coca-Cola Bottling Company. She was a christian and was a member of First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, James Keith Young; two brothers, Clarence Day and Charlie Day; and her sister, Ethel Rickard.

She is survived by her husband, James Richard Young; her son, David (Danna) Young of Princeton, KY; her brother, Tommy Day of Madisonville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Dr. Joe Leonard officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at Harris Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
