Anna Lucille Phillips, 93, of Madisonville, Ky. formerly of Louisville, Ky. passed away at 2:35 p.m. on Thursday April 28, 2011 at NHC Healthcare in Madisonville.

She was born on July 23, 1917 in Madisonville, Ky. to the late Jasper Stokes and Janie Stone Stokes. She was a retired secretary with L&N Railroad in Louisville, Ky. She attended Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, William "Shorty" Robertson; her second husband, Artist Douglas "Phil" Phillips in 1987; a sister, Margaret Boggess and a brother, Harley Stokes.

She is survived by three nieces, Hylda Moore of Lady Lake, Fl., Linda Badgett of Madisonville and Margaret Ann Jones of Bradenton, Fl.; four great nieces and three great nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday May 2, 2011 at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville with Rob Wilson officiating.

There will be no visitation. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.
