Angela Dawn Gates Koon, 58, of Providence, KY passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020 at her daughter's home.

She was born on may 19, 1962 in Madisonville, KY to the late Wanda Jo Harris Reynolds and Odis Gates. Angela was a member of Beech Creek Pentecostal Mission Church in Greenville, KY. When she had spare time, she loved spending every moment of it with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father, Paul Reynolds; her brother, Gary Clark; and the love of her life, Will Koon.

Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly (Andy) Groves of Providence; son, Daniel (Misty) Hunt of Dixon, KY; sisters, Tina (Carroll) Oakley of Hanson, KY and Donna Jones of Greenville, KY; grandchildren, Blake (Kaylee) Groves, Baileigh Groves, Caleb Groves, Aliceson Groves, Jo-Dee Hunt, Timothy Hunt, Coalton Hunt and Kinsley Hunt; great-granddaughter, Briley Groves; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor Jeremy Jolly officiating. Burial to follow at Hanson Cemetery in Hanson.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Wednesday at the funeral home.

The pallbearers are Andy Groves, Blake Groves, Caleb Groves, Jordan Plunkett, John Plunkett and Carroll Oakley. Honorary pallbearer is Coalton Hunt.

The family would like to say thank you to the St. Anthony Hospice nurses, Kris Yates and Kelly Yates for their attentive care of Angela.
