Ada Frazer Peyton, 91, of Dalton, KY passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Princeton Health and Rehab in Princeton, Ky.

She was born on December 12, 1922 in Dalton to the late William Alexander and Pearl Wyatt Frazer. She was a retired teacher, having taught first at Silent Run and Jennings one room schools and then for many years at Dalton School. She attended Macedonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Dalton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Peyton; her brother, Bill Frazer; her sisters, Amanda Frazer Dever and Nell Frazer Richards and her granddaughter, Rebecca Darnall.

She is survived by her son, Alex (Vangie) Peyton of Dalton; her daughter, Martha (Narvin) Darnall of Dalton; her grandchildren, David (Katrina) Darnall, Robert (Stephanie) Peyton, Houghston (Lindsay) Peyton and Kyle Peyton all of Dalton, Jenny Peyton (Adam) Mabrouk of Longmont, CO, Rachel Darnall (Mike) Curtis of Fordsville; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2014 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. John Shoulta officiating and Bro. Dennis Weaver assisting. Burial to follow at Prospect Cemetery in Dalton.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Monday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ada's memory to the Prospect Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
