Margaret Louise Cates, 72, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville.

She was born on December 17, 1939 in Madisonville, KY to the late Ruth Roosevelt Farris Cates and Harry David Cates. She was a homemaker and was of the General Baptist faith.

She is survived by her three sisters, Anna May Boze, Helen Joyce Hartline both of Madisonville and Barbara Carol Lamb of Nebo, KY; five brothers, Marvin Cates of Reed, KY, Finis Ray Cates of Madisonville, Harold David Cates of Nebo, James Otho Cates of Madisonville and Thomas Lee Cates of Henderson, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. Rick Oakley officiating. Burial will be in Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday at Harris Funeral Home.
