Nelda Gene Kirkwood Kelley

Nelda Gene Kirkwood Kelley, 76, of Nebo, KY passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

She was born on October 10, 1935 in Madisonville, KY to the late, Fred Kirkwood and Gertrude Oldham Kirkwood. She was formerly a hostess at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. She formerly worked in the nursery of First Baptist Church for many years where she was also a member. She was also a member of the Homemakers Club.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, James Howard Kelley on July 2, 2011.

She is survived by her daughter, Juanita (Tim) Blanchard of Nebo; her son, Fred Keith Kelley of Nebo; two grandchildren, Melissa (Brad) Law of Manitou, KY and Monica Kelley of Madisonville; her great-granddaughter, Addison Law; her sister, June Moore of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Dr. Bill Thomas officiating and Bro. James E. Kelley assisting. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday at Harris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Brad Law, Shane Chapman, Tim Blanchard, Tommy Blanchard, Richard Osborn and Darrel Moore. Honorary pallbearer will be Tim Cavanaugh.
